# The midnight message becomes a typed client brief by morning.

You automate coaching client intake by putting a conversational agent in front of the pre-discovery-call conversation. It asks the situation, the goal, and what’s been tried one question at a time, types it into a client brief, and hands it to the coach before the call, never quoting a fee or giving advice.

## The process this page is about

Not "AI for coaches". One process, the one that decides whether a prospect who’s been circling a decision for months actually books the call: the pre-discovery-call intake, the conversation that happens before the coach has ever heard their voice.

- **Who starts it**: Someone who typed "I don’t really know where to start" at 11pm, before the discovery call is even booked, because a static form felt like a wall between them and getting help.
- **What it costs today**: A Typeform sent ahead of the call that more than half of prospects never finish, or a discovery call spent asking the same three questions the form should already have answered.
- **What it has to produce**: A typed client brief: the situation in their own words, the goal, what they’ve already tried, and whether this looks like a one-on-one or group fit, before the coach ever picks up the phone.
- **of prospects who start a coaching intake form actually finish it**: 47% (source: Typeform)

## What it asks, and what it never asks

You name the fields your intake already asks for. It does the asking, in whatever order the story comes out, and it keeps asking until the required ones are filled.

| Field | Type | Required | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| full_name | text | yes | Whose name goes on the client brief |
| email | email | yes | Where the confirmation and the brief land |
| current_situation | text | yes | The situation, in their own words, not squeezed into a text box |
| primary_goal | text | yes | What they want different - the line the discovery call opens with |
| what_youve_tried | text | no | So the coach doesn’t spend the call re-asking what’s already been tried |
| preferred_format | text | no | Routes the call itself: one-on-one or group |
| best_time_to_talk | text | no | When they’re actually free, not just when the form happened to be open |

### And what it will not do

- It never gives the guidance, feedback or advice a paid coaching engagement is for - that happens with the coach, not in this chat.
- It never quotes, negotiates or confirms a fee, package price or session rate, even a range.
- It never scopes or commits to what an engagement will cover or how many sessions it includes. That’s decided on the discovery call, by a person.
- It never diagnoses anything, and never coaches around a clinical mental health condition. If something sounds like it needs a therapist, it says so plainly.
- The moment anything sounds like a safety crisis, it stops asking questions entirely and gives a real crisis number instead.
- It never invents a field. If they didn’t say it, the record says "Not captured" instead of a guess.

## Try the run yourself

Six situations a coaching practice actually handles, each running its own agent with its own fields. Pick one and answer it the way a real prospect or client would, vague and mid-thought, and watch it ask the follow-up instead of accepting the blank.

- [I want to book a discovery call](https://joina.chat/l/lc-intake): Chat widget. Pre-call intake, in the corner of the coach’s own site.
- [Something’s wrong today](https://joina.chat/l/lc-urgent): Conversation page. Anything urgent stops the intake and hands off to a real number, immediately.
- [Do you have something for my situation](https://joina.chat/l/lc-fit): Conversation page. Program fit and readiness, qualified before anyone books.
- [It’s been a while](https://joina.chat/l/lc-welcome): Conversation page. No guilt, just help getting reconnected.
- [I need to pause or cancel](https://joina.chat/l/lc-pause): Conversation page. No pitch, just the real reason, on record.
- [Quick check-in before my next session](https://joina.chat/l/lc-checkin): Conversation page. For active clients only, two minutes before the coach sees them.

## Frequently asked questions

**How do I automate coaching client intake?**

Name the fields your intake already asks for, point the agent at your services pages, and put the link on your site. The agent runs the conversation, produces a typed client brief, and posts it to your CRM through a webhook, Zapier or Make. Setup is minutes, not an implementation project.

**Will it give coaching advice by accident?**

It is instructed never to give the guidance, feedback or strategy a paid engagement is for, never to quote or confirm a fee, and never to scope what an engagement covers. Ask it what someone should do and it says plainly that’s what the coach works through with them, not this chat. Every conversation is stored with the sentence each value came from.

**What happens if someone describes a safety crisis?**

The agent stops collecting fields immediately, states plainly that this conversation can’t help with that, and gives a real crisis resource: the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or 911 for immediate danger. It does not resume the original intake afterward. This is a hard stop, not a soft redirect.

**Can it tell a prospect which program is right for them?**

The program-fit agent gathers the challenge area, the stage they’re at, format preference and readiness, but it never confirms enrollment and never says which program to pick - that call is made by a person once the intake is through, which is also the honest answer.

**Does it work with HoneyBook or Dubsado?**

Through a webhook, yes. Gnosari posts a signed JSON payload the moment a client brief is complete, and Zapier or Make routes it into your CRM. There is no Gnosari app to install on either side.
